The Reservation Operations module attends to the creation and maintenance of individual and group reservations, automatically maintaining the deposit escrow ledger as changes are made to reservation information. In LodgeWright the Reservation file is a temporary storage of guest information pending check-in. After check-in the guest information is transferred to the Front Desk file and then to a permanent Master Guest List. This allows frequent purging of old and cancelled reservations from the Reservation file to keep it small for a more manageable, efficient computer operation.
In Reservations you:
Create new individual reservations for up to four rooms.
Create group reservations for any number of rooms, even for every room in your operation on a single reservation if necessary.
Up to four guests per room in the rooming list for group reservations.
Transfer a room from a group reservation to an individual reservation.
Alter current individual reservations at any time, in any way.
Print different, customizable confirmation letters for every reservation contingency.
Automatically search for delinquent deposits and print customizable deposit request letters.
Search the Reservation file for matches to any of several search parameters.
View room availability for any stay in the two year calendar.
View room rates for any stay in the two year calendar (screen at right).
View the reservations by date and room number for any ten day stretch of your calendar. This lets you see occupancy patterns on-screen so that you can see how to shift reservations to maximize occupancy in busy seasons.
